Hearing Dogs for Deaf People is a national charity that trains dogs to alert their deaf owners to sounds such as the alarm clock, telephone, doorbell or smoke alarm. Our dogs donated by breeders, members of the public or selected from rescue centres offer their deaf recipients the benefits of greater independence, confidence and security.

Pets As Therapy. Approximately 4,500 visiting volunteers regularly take their registered dogs and cats into hospitals, residential and nursing homes, day care centres, special needs and mainstream schools and many other establishments bringing a special kind of love and companionship to over 130,000 people of all ages every week. The benefits of this service to the community are enormous.
